3D Printed Mold for Aviation Industry

Hi, I am Ujjwal Gupta, studying at MAIT (MAE).
I heard about the 3D printing technology 5-6 years ago but then I thought it would be an expensive setup and difficult task to perform.
Then I came to know about the 3D printing program offered by Curiosity3D in our college from my professor and attended the masterclass offered by them.
After that my whole opinion about 3D printing has changed and I started developing an interest in this field. After I engaged myself in this course, I found it very amazing and useful as I have the power to make things as per my requirements and needs.
Every day I make something on the printer I learn a lot of new things. I had printed many things on a 3D printer ranging from large to small. The tasks given to us are so interesting, I got to learn a lot from these tasks.
This course has given me a lot of new ideas, how to think and design things differently so as to save both time, energy & material.
Curiosity3D helps me a lot to understand the concept of 3D printing & it turns out to be very useful for our company also as I had printed many molds on the machine within a few hours which are very expensive and take many days to complete when done from other methods.
These molds are parts of refueling vehicles & systems used in aviation namely Blank caps of 4 sizes, Air vent disc, 3 leg adapter.
The challenge that came while printing is that these molds are to be printed with minimum supports for better surface finish & cost saving. So these molds are designed in parts and then pasted together which results in a high surface finish & cost saving.
3D Printing technology is very helpful in today's world as it solves many of our daily problems and will be very beneficial for our future.
