How I Designed the Logo of my Future Company

Hello, my name is Kartik Godra, studying in MAIT 2nd year MAE. I heard about the Curiosity3D program from my professor and applied for the workshop session.

I always thought that CAD software is very difficult but during my first week of the program, I realized that the only thing that is stopping you is your imagination; you just need a laptop & a 3D printer for almost everything.

The wrench design that NASA sent to the International Space Station for 3D printing was what caught my attention to take the program. You can also watch it here…

The first thing I 3D Printed is the logo of my future company. There is a company which I dream of - ‘Spacewalkx’ and I have a lot of plans for it.

Watching that logo come alive is a proud feeling for me and it gave me hope and a new start for my passion.

After I 3D printed the logo, I started working on different things like making engine parts and I started learning simulation software to see my designs working.

I learned a new thing every day. I looked at the things around me from a different perspective having a 3D printer at your home not only gives you the ability to print anything anytime but also to deal with small problems which can be sometimes very difficult to handle.

I had a great time with the 3D printer and it was amazing to see how my designs printed from scratch in a short amount of time. I also had some trouble while printing but the beginning is always the hardest. I printed items from a text logo for a franchise to a lithophane which can only be seen in light.

I would strongly recommend this 3D printing program as it will not only help you to make things way quicker but also your problem-solving skills around you.

There is so much scope in this field from engineering to the medical field or even in MNCs like Bugatti/SpaceX. It is the 3rd gen of the industrial revolution but the 4th gen is not far, in fact, is almost here so it’s basically the future of everything that we see or manufacture.
